Why This Project Exists
Black men are often present in fantasies and conversations about these dynamics, but their own voices are rarely centered. Too often, assumptions about race, masculinity, bodies, power, and judgment about sexuality take the place of listening.
Bulls of Color creates room for Black men to describe their experiences in their own words—including what feels affirming, complicated, misunderstood, beneficial, or harmful.
The goal is to listen for patterns and nuances, encourage more honest conversation, and share what is learned through educational presentations and materials.
Who This Survey Is For
This survey is for Black cisgender men, age 18 or older, who live in the United States and currently participate—or have participated—as a bull, third, or outside male partner in a consensual cuckolding or related interracial dynamic involving a White or otherwise non-Black couple.
This includes experiences in which you played with the wife or female partner individually. Her husband or male partner did not have to be present during the sexual encounter.
You do not have to identify with the word “bull.” If this description fits your experience, you are welcome to participate.
Before You Begin
- The survey has 31 required questions.
- Most people should expect it to take about 10–15 minutes.
- It does not ask for your name or email address.
- Some questions are personal and ask about race, sexuality, relationships, boundaries, benefits, challenges, and how others see your role.
- You may close the survey before submitting if you decide not to participate.
- Because responses are anonymous, a submitted response cannot be identified and removed later.
How Responses May Be Used
Responses will be reviewed for recurring themes, differences, tensions, and experiences that are often overlooked. Findings may be shared in presentations, educational materials, and future summaries on this website. No identifying quotations or details will be used.
About Tammy
Tammy Fisher, MA, LPC-S, LMFT-S, LMHC, CST, is a licensed psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, and PhD student in Sexology.
Her work focuses on relationships, sexuality, consensual nonmonogamy, power, race, and the cultural messages that shape desire.
Tammy is a White woman in an interracial marriage with a Black man. She and her husband have participated in swinging and consensually nonmonogamous communities, including playing separately and attending events such as Splash Mocha. They are not a cuckolding couple, and Tammy does not present their experiences as equivalent to those being explored in this project.
Tammy has discussed this subject on podcasts including OFacez (Orgasm Facez) and has presented on it to therapists and sexuality communities at the AASECT Annual Conference, Sex Down South, the SHA Sexology Conference, and other kink-aware spaces.
These experiences do not make Tammy an authority on Black men’s lives. Her role is to ask thoughtful questions, examine her assumptions, listen carefully, advocate for Black men’s voices, and involve Black men in reviewing interpretations before conclusions are shared.
