BULLS IN CUCKOLDING

The ”bull” is the third party of a cuckold providing sexual services to a female partner under the gaze or knowledge of a male partner. A bull is generally seen as a more attractive, better endowed, sexually virile man with incredible sexual talents. This research focuses on specifically bulls of color, BIPOC males, often referred to as BBC’s.

Historically, a cuckold described a man married to an adulteress wife. The “cuck” was looked down on as someone who could not satisfy his wife sexually. Today, cuckolding by this definition is archaic. The sentiment of the term has evolved into something more of a sexual kink. It is not uncommon for men to not only approve of their partner having sex with another man, but to also enjoy watching, knowing or hearing about the encounter. Although “cuckolding” is still used, “hotwifing” has gained popularity due to the sense of empowerment it brings to both parties in the couple dynamic.

Much research can be found for the cuckold’s experience, but almost none on the “bull’s” experience. Even less information can be found on the black male “bull’s” perspective. Most of the information that can be found from any bull perspective is limited to what their role is, how to successfully play the role and how to find couples.

Most couples seeking a “bull”, especially of color, are white which brings up questions about fetishizing race and if it is inherently racist. This research aims to gather information about the “bull” of color’s perspective and use it to help educate and challenge therapists’ biases while destigmatizing this particular kink in the larger community.
